How your company can make a difference
‘Corporate Social Responsibility’, ‘Natural Capital’ – companies are increasingly being told that they must ‘shift their behaviour to enhance and conserve natural resources, rather than depleting them.’
Many companies in Oxfordshire already support their local community, but demands on their time mean that they struggle to deal with almost weekly requests for funding. It can be difficult to find the resources to dedicate as much time to community support as a company might want to do, and that can lead to no support at all, or adhoc grants allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
By channelling giving through TOE2, you can be confident that your company can deliver support that is effective and hugely valued by the wider community. We can build in staff involvement, team building, or family sessions too. Or a straightforward annual grant can be used to deliver the sort of outcomes your company would like to see.
We have expertise in CSR and sponsorships, so we can work with you to develop something distinct for your company.
Towergate Insurance >
Towergate Insurance supported the Earth Trust's Stairway to Nature project to improve access and increase visitor numbers to Little Wittenham Wood in Little Wittenham Nature Reserve. Approximately half of the Nature Reserve is woodland, yet although the site receives around 150,000 visits a year, only 18% of visitors walked in the wood. A family friendly 1.5km circular walk around the wood was identified and it was made more accessible through this project. A series of events and guided walks raised awareness of this new route to visitors.
Connecting Naturally >
A corporate sponsor donated over £14,000 to implement the Connecting Naturally project, encouraging more families to play outside and learn about natural environments at widely advertised drop in sessions.
