ARE YOU UP FOR A CHALLENGE?

TOE has launched a £50,000 Youth Volunteering Challenge Fund, encouraging young volunteers (16-25 years) to transform public spaces

We can fund projects which promote and develop practical youth volunteering on rural and urban sites across Oxfordshire.  Up to £5,000 is available for individual projects such as improving youth clubs and other community buildings, community gardens, recreation grounds (eg; BMX tracks, skate parks etc), and practical works to improve countryside access and biodiversity.  All projects have to involve making practical improvements at a site which has public access for a minimum of 2 days a week, and should be developed in response to local needs as identified by young people.

We are working in partnership with the v team based at the Oxfordshire Children and Voluntary Youth Service (OCVYS).  Applications should be submitted on the usual application form which can be downloaded from this website.  Please contact the TOE office for further details.

PLACES FOR PEOPLE

Following our May Board meeting we can now announce that a further £50,000 has been committed to the Places for People scheme run in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council.  If you have a local project to improve access to the countryside in your area, please contact us for more details about how to access funding.  We can fund a wide range of improvements including installation of gates, upgrading path surfaces or installation of signs.
