Introducing TOE

TOE was established in 1998 at the instigation of Oxfordshire County Council which was keen to see the county benefiting from the Landfill Communities Fund (then called the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme).

  • TOE provides grants to diverse community and environmental projects across Oxfordshire.
  • The Trust's Board includes representatives from Local Authorities, Landfill Operators and independent members from local environmental organisations.
  • The Trust Administrator is based at the Oxfordshire Rural Community Council (ORCC).  We work in partnership with ORCC, their Village Halls Adviser and the Oxfordshire Playing Fields Association. 
  • TOE works in partnership with a range of organisations across Oxfordshire.  We are particularly grateful to those indviduals from Local Authorities and environmental organisations who carry out project assessments; their advice guides the TOE Board's decision making on funding allocation.
